Prices checked on
A wedding has long gaps that you do not see from the head table. The cocktail reception while you take photos, the wait before the march in, the time between courses. A wedding magician fills those gaps. Guests who have never met end up laughing at the same trick, and nobody checks the time. You can book a magician for a wedding in Singapore at a hotel ballroom, a restaurant, a garden venue or a private dining room.
Price: roving close-up magic usually costs SGD 600 to 1,200 for 1 to 2 hours. Stage and mentalist sets are quoted for your date. See magician prices in Singapore.
The cocktail reception
This is the classic slot. Guests stand with drinks while you and your families take photos, and a roving magician moves between small groups with card and coin magic. There is no stage, no microphone and nothing to set up. Read more about roving and close-up magicians.
At the banquet
At a wedding banquet with round tables, a close-up magician can visit tables between courses, a few minutes at each. A short stage set works best just before the speeches, when everyone is already facing the front. Agree the timing with your wedding planner and the banquet manager, so the magic does not clash with the food service, the yam seng toast or the march in.
Keep in mind that roving magic is hardest once guests are seated and eating. If most of your day is a seated dinner, plan the magic for the reception, or book a short stage set instead.
Mind reading for adult guests
A mentalist suits weddings well, because the material uses the people in the room. Weddings usually book roving mentalism during the cocktail hour. Brief the performer on family sensitivities and on any guests who should not be called up. Read more about hiring a mentalist in Singapore.
Children at the wedding
If many children are coming, ask about a short kids magic set for them. Tell us the number and the ages of the children when you ask for a quote.
Make it match your day
Magicians can tailor the act to the theme of your wedding or to a special request. Mention any idea when you book, so the magician can prepare it in advance.
What to send
Send the date, the venue, the number of guests and the part of the day you want magic for. Add your programme if you have one, and the planning guide covers space and timing. Ask on WhatsApp or through the quote form.
