Prices checked on
A magician in Singapore usually costs SGD 250 to 650 for a kids birthday show and SGD 600 to 1,200 for 1 to 2 hours of roving close-up magic. Corporate stage segments, stage illusionists and mentalists cost more, because they need a stage, sound and a longer set. These are the usual ranges before add-ons. The exact figure depends on your date, the performer and how far ahead you book.

What moves the price
The type of act. A kids show, roving close-up magic, a corporate stage slot, a full illusion show and a mentalist are different bookings with different preparation.
Length. Extra performance time adds to the fee. Roving magic is booked by the hour.
The performer and the date. Rates change with the performer's experience and how far ahead you book. School holidays in June, November and December and the October to December dinner and dance season fill up first.
Travel. Sentosa and outlying venues can add a travel charge.
Headcount. One roving magician covers about 80 to 120 guests over 90 minutes. A larger reception needs a second magician.
Add-ons. Balloon sculpting, face painting and a bubble show are booked separately, not bundled into the magic show.
What the fee usually includes
The fee usually covers the performer's time, a briefing before the event, preparation and the agreed performance time. For a kids party, it includes the props, a shout-out to the birthday child and the magician keeping the children seated for the show. Travel to remote venues, overtime and add-ons are quoted on top.
Ways to fit your budget
- Choose one strong slot instead of spreading the magician across the whole event.
- For a reception, a single roving magician for 90 minutes covers most rooms up to about 100 guests.
- For a kids party, keep the show to 30 to 45 minutes for younger children.
- Book early, especially for school holidays and year-end company dinners.
Costs on the venue side
Some costs sit with the venue, not the magician: stage hire, a sound system or microphone for a stage set, and parking. Ask the venue early. The planning guide lists what to check.
