You can book a magic show in Singapore and add balloon sculpting, face painting or a bubble show for a kids party. These add-ons are booked separately from the magician and quoted on top of the show. Ask for everything in one enquiry, so the running order and the price are planned as one party.
Price: a kids birthday magic show usually costs SGD 250 to 650 for 30 to 60 minutes. Add-ons are quoted on top. See magician prices in Singapore.
What the magician brings and what is extra
A kids booking includes the performer, the props, a shout-out to the birthday child and light audience management, so the children sit down and quiet down for the show.
These are not included unless you ask:
- Balloon sculpting or balloon twisting
- Face painting
- A bubble show
- A sound system
- A bouncy castle
Each of these is a separate add-on. Ask at the same time as the magic show, so the team can plan who does what and when.
A running order that works
A party in a condo function room or at home could run like this:
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| Arrival | Face painting while the guests come in |
| Middle | The magic show, with the birthday child up front for the big trick |
| After the show | Balloon sculpting while the children wait for the cake |
| End | Cake and goodbyes |
Put the magic show in the middle, before the food. The children are still fresh, and the show gives the party a clear centre.
How long to book
- 30 to 45 minutes of magic suits younger children and most home parties.
- Up to 60 minutes works when a balloon sculpting segment follows the show.
For 40 children of mixed ages, think about how long the queue for face painting will be. One painter can only paint one child at a time, so it works best while other things are happening.
Match the add-ons to the ages
Toddlers usually prefer a simple balloon animal to a long wait in a face painting queue. Older children often like face painting with a theme they choose. Tell the team the ages of all the children, and the plan for the add-ons follows from that. The kids birthday party magician page explains how the show itself changes with age.
Space and setup
Plan two areas. The magician needs a clear spot of about 2 by 2 metres with a chair or low table for props. The face painter or balloon artist needs a table to one side, away from the show. In a condo function room, that usually means one end for the show and a corner for the add-on. The planning guide has a full checklist.
When to book
Add-ons need their own performer free on your date, so ask early. Weekends in the school holidays fill first.
